Author Guidelines
The AdZU Journal of Diverse Disciplines (AJDD) invites researchers to submit original research articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge across various fields. We prioritize work that demonstrates interdisciplinary relevance and high ethical standards.
1. General Requirements Originality
Manuscripts must be original work not previously published or currently under consideration by another journal.
- Language: All submissions must be in English. Ensure the text is clear, concise, and free of grammatical errors.
- Word Count:
- Research Articles: 5,000 – 8,000 words.
- Short Communications/Notes: 2,000 – 3,000 words. (Word counts include references, tables, and appendices).
2. Manuscript Structure To facilitate a Double-Blind Peer Review, authors must submit two separate files
- Title Page (Not for Review): Includes the full title, all author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs (optional), and the corresponding author’s email.
- Anonymized Manuscript: The main text starting from the Title and Abstract. Remove all identifying information (names, acknowledgments, or references to "our previous study").
- Section Order: Title: Concise and informative. Abstract: A single paragraph (max 250 words) summarizing the objective, method, results, and conclusion. Keywords: 4–6 keywords for indexing.
- Main Body: Typically follows the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) for empirical studies, or logical thematic headings for conceptual papers.
- References: Adhere strictly to the APA 6th or 7th Edition (or the specific style currently mandated by the AdZU University Research Office).
3. Formatting Specifications
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced
- Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
- Visuals: Tables and Figures should be embedded within the text where they are mentioned
4. The OJS Submission Process must be made through the AdZU Journals of Diverse Discipline (AJDD)
- Register/Login: Create an author account
- Start Submission: Select the appropriate section (e.g., Articles)
- Upload Files: Upload the Anonymized Manuscript as the "Article Component" and the Title Page as a "Supplementary File."
- Metadata: Enter the abstract and keywords into the system fields (this helps with Google Scholar indexing)
5. Adherence to Research Ethics Standards of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Research Ethics Policies and Guidelines
